Botngaard's primary focus is the supply of tarpaulins for Aquaculture. The use of tarps have incresed due to a dramatic increase in salmon lice infestations in fish farming facilities.

Botngaard aims to become a leading supplier of tarpaulin solutions for the fish farming industry. To this end, the company has established close connections to the fish farming indusrty, other fish farming suppliers, and the strong R&D communities in Central Norway (SINTEF, NTNU). The company has also established a new manufacturing plant in Central Norway (Valsneset in the Municipality of Bjugn) with state-of-the-art machinery. The plant is fully operational as of January 2017. Testing and development will be conducted in collaboration with R&D partners.
Botngaard will use its expertise and strategic location in Central Norway to develop and market industrial textile products for exacting customers in the fish farming indusrty.
